Navigating Transitions

Find clarity. Build confidence. Move forward with intention.

Navigating Transitions is a signature William & Mary Women’s program that supports participants through moments of change — whether in career, relationships or a broader sense of what comes next.

Rooted in reflection, connection and growth, the program brings together a multi-generational community of participants to explore transitions with intention and possibility. While designed with women in mind, all are welcome to participate.

About the program:

Since its launch, Navigating Transitions has supported William & Mary women at a wide range of life and career stages — from early and mid-career professionals to those considering retirement or a new chapter.

Through expert coaching, guided reflection and meaningful peer connection, participants gain tools to better understand where they are, where they want to go and how to move forward with confidence.

The program is led by executive coaches Amy Steindler ’80, Sequoia Owen ’12 and Dorian Baroni ’81, whose combined experience creates a thoughtful and supportive learning environment.

What makes it unique:

 A cohort experience
Participants move through the program together, creating space for shared learning, accountability and connection.
An intergenerational perspective
Women across life stages bring diverse insights, helping participants expand their thinking and see new possibilities.
A balance of structure and reflection
The program combines practical tools with space for reflection, mindfulness and personal exploration.

What participants say:

“This program built up my confidence, skills and self-awareness in almost every aspect of life.”

“An amazing opportunity to step outside of your regular life and gain a new perspective.”

“A truly transformational experience.”
