2022
Food For All won first place for 2022’s spring Impact Week and used their funds to purchase a new commercial refrigerator and freezer to increase capacity of the campus food exchange.
Camp Kesem won second place for 2022’s spring Impact Week and used their funds to purchase items to host Kesem Friends & Family Day, a celebration and community building for children of cancer patients.
Someone You Know won third place for 2022’s spring Impact Week and used their funds to purchase items to support the Clotheslines Project, which was held on campus and raises awareness about sexual assault and interpersonal violence.
2021
Kappa Sigma fraternity won first place for 2021’s fall Impact Week and used their funds to support the Williamsburg House of Mercy.
National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) won second place for 2021’s fall Impact Week and used their funds to purchase items to host underserved communities within Williamsburg to the Integrated Science Center (ISC) and perform several fun and educational Chemistry demos to inspire science engagement.
Latin American Student Union won third place for 2021’s fall Impact Week and used their funds to purchase bilingual books and materials for EL/MLS students in Williamsburg and James City county public schools.
Kappa Sigma fraternity won first place for 2021’s spring Impact Week and used their funds to support the Williamsburg House of Mercy by purchasing non-perishable items for their food pantry.
Greater City won second place for 2021’s spring Impact Week and used their funds to support Pineapple Inn residents via 3e Restoration. They purchased hygiene kits and cooking supplies and accessories, coupled with original Greater City recipes, for the new residents of Pineapple Inn to make their transition as comfortable and easy as possible.
InterVarsity Christian Fellowship won third place for 2021’s spring Impact Week and used their funds to also support 3e Restoration by purchasing essential hygiene products and household items for the socially displaced in Williamsburg.
2020
Kappa Alpha Theta won first place for 2020's fall Impact Week and used the funds to purchase much needed school supplies for the children of Colonial CASA while they learn remotely.
Someone You Know won second place for 2020’s fall Impact Week and used their funds to host The National Clothesline Project, whose mission is to break the silence and bear witness to sexual assault and interpersonal violence. Students were able to write/draw on T-shirts to recognize the strength of survivors, show their support or explain how sexual assault has affected them indirectly.
Griffin School Partnership (GSP) won third place for 2020’s fall Impact Week and partnered with the School of Education in their Virtual Learning Partner program. Through this program, volunteers tutor a WJCC elementary school student virtually for about an hour each week. GSP used their funds to purchase a book and a personal note to each WJCC student taking part in the program to not only show their continued support but also to serve as a topic of discussion between each student and tutor.
Student Veterans of William & Mary won fourth place for 2020’s fall Impact Week and used their funds to purchase non-perishable food items and toiletries to support VETSHouse Incorporated, a non-profit organization serving homeless veterans in Hampton Roads.
2019
Best Buddies of William & Mary won first place for 2019’s Impact Week and used the funds to conduct a job skills workshop for Williamsburg residents with development and intellectual disabilities. The event took place in February in the Sadler Center and provided job-search tools and other skills.
The Gentlemen of the College & William & Mary Accidentals won second place for 2019’s Impact Week and used the funds to partner with the Williamsburg House of Mercy Soup Kitchen, which provides supportive services and emergency assistance for vulnerable individuals in the greater Williamsburg community.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon (Virginia Kappa) won third place for 2019’s Impact Week and used the funds to partner with the Virginia chapter of Latisha’s House, a non-profit safe house for adult female survivors of human trafficking.
