- Wren Traditions
Wren Traditions is a series of events and programs by students, for students held throughout the year that strengthen our community and celebrate William & Mary. These new traditions help students make the most of their William & Mary experience and build lifelong connections with each other and their alma mater.
Our Traditions

Cheers to Your Senior Year
Gather in the Sunken Garden with fellow seniors to celebrate your final year and see what Homecoming is like post-graduation. Bring your ID to enjoy tastings of Virginia beer and cider, and be sure to pick up your senior year checklist!
Fall & Spring Impact Weeks
Make an impact in the local community! Each semester, student organizations are selected to receive their share of $5,000 from private donors to complete their service project. Support these initiatives by making a gift and casting your vote for your preferred project. Impact Week occurs once in the fall and once in the spring.
Fall & Spring Senior Weeks
Twice a year, join fellow seniors for a weeklong celebration of all we have achieved and the memories we've made together. Attend exclusive on- and off-campus events and make a gift in honor of the areas of campus that have impacted you the most during your time at William & Mary.
One Tribe One Day Carnival
Zipline, cuddly friends, Sno-to-Go and more! Join us each spring as we celebrate our annual day of giving back and paying it forward.
Wine & Cheese
Each spring we host a wine and cheese reception to say thank you to seniors who have chosen to leave their legacy by giving back to William & Mary.
Senior Spring Day
This is a time for seniors to congregate, recall fond memories of time at W&M, take a special class photo on Zable field and toast to the bright futures of each and every graduate.
Alumni Induction Ceremony
At this ceremony during Commencement, you and your fellow graduates will officially be inducted as alumni and receive your alumni pins. Don't miss parting words of congratulations and best wishes from the president of William & Mary, your senior class president and leaders in the Alumni Association.
Transition to Alumni
Senior year is a wonderful time to celebrate all that you have accomplished thus far and make the most of your final year as an undergraduate. As you prepare for life after graduation, we are here to assist you on your journey to becoming W&M alumni with resources, connections and support.
