Women Working Together: How Alumnae are staying engaged with Alma Mater
This past spring brought three regional forums specifically for W&M women. In February, 40 alumnae in the Atlanta area came together over a luncheon for a talk given by Hala Moddelmog, the current and first woman president of the Metro Atlanta Chamber. In April, 30 Roanoke alumnae convened at the O. Winston Link Museum for a networking reception. The attendees were provided with an W&M update from Vice President for Student Affairs Ginger Ambler ’88, Ph.D. ’06 and learned about the Link Museum from Laura Conte ’12, visitor services coordinator. And in May, over 20 Richmond professional women convened for a breakfast networking opportunity hosted by Liz Doerr ’07 and Laura Markely ’07. Each of the events was hosted by local alumnae and each had at least six decades of W&M women represented!
