Born out of a desire to help gifted students from all socioeconomic levels, Camp Launch provides eligible 7th and 8th grade students with enrichment and academic opportunities. The students are recruited from school districts around Virginia, and participate in a two-week residential program with courses in STEM, writing, and personal development. The W&M summer camp is in its fifth year, thanks to a $1 million gift from Nancy Briggs Petters ’81 and Mike Petters M.B.A. ’93.
