Students for University Advancement (SUA)

Students for University Advancement is a student organization dedicated to building a culture of engagement and philanthropy within the W&M undergraduate community.

Members of the Students for University Advancement (SUA) have opportunities to network with William & Mary alumni, sponsor large campus events, and grow as student leaders as they spread the spirit of giving across campus.

SUA members aim to educate their peers on the importance of fostering lifelong relationships with William & Mary, encouraging them to support alma mater with their time, talent and treasure. SUA further seeks to facilitate meaningful connections among students, alumni and the campus community each year. Through these functions, SUA aims to ensure the continued enhancement of the W&M experience, ensuring the bright future of our storied institution.

The goal of SUA is to build a culture of philanthropy on campus so that we may continue to support William & Mary as young alumni and into the future. By educating and engaging current students from freshman to senior year, students will leave William & Mary with a better understanding of the importance and impact of giving back to the university. By creating this culture, we hope to increase student and young alumni giving to William & Mary.
