Welcome to the Tribe

More than 1,700 freshmen and transfer students settled into nine residence halls on William & Mary's campus Friday during Move-In Day.

Here is what some of Tribe's newest members had to say about Move-In Day:

“The students who were helping us unload outside were amazing. This year I’m really looking forward to the academic opportunities that William & Mary offers. I’m also excited about being surrounded by people who are going to challenge me. “

Kate Arnold

Woodbridge, Virginia

“I was definitely surprised by how many orientation aides were here cheering for everybody. It was great to get that type of welcome after such a long drive. I’m excited to live on campus and to see what life is like at William & Mary.”

Nitya Labh

Princeton, New Jersey

“Everybody was bright and cheery when we arrived, which made waking up at 6:30 a.m. not so bad. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to meet new people and do some new things that I haven’t been able to do before.”

William Fitzgerald

Newport News, Virginia

"I’m very excited to be here and anticipate everything William & Mary has to offer, especially academics. I’m looking forward to majoring in philosophy as a student here.”
