End of Year Giving

Thank you for including William & Mary as you plan your end-of-year giving. A gift to William & Mary invigorates the university’s legacy of teaching excellence, propels groundbreaking research and advances a strong community of diverse perspectives.

The Office of University Advancement at William & Mary is closed for the holidays, beginning Thursday, December 22 at 5 p.m. Regular business operations will resume on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.

There will be limited staff in the Office of University Advancement on December 27, 28, 29 and 30 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to assist donors with questions and year-end gifts.

Ways to complete your 2016 gift to William & Mary by the end of the year:

Your gift by credit card

For tax purposes, credit card gifts must be received,charged and approved — not just postmarked — by Friday, December 30, 2016, 5 p.m. to count as a calendar year 2016 gift. This is for credit card gifts sent in the mail only.

Credit card gifts online

• Credit card gifts can be made online through Saturday, December 31, 2016 by midnight. Please visit https://giving.wm.edu/.

Credit card gifts by telephone

• Call (757) 221-1001 on December 27, 28, 29 and 30, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) to have someone assist you with taking your credit card gift by phone.

Your gift by check

Please check with your postal service regarding hours open on Saturday, December 31, 2016.

• Date your check on or before December 31, 2016, and be sure it is postmarked on or before December 31, 2016. Checks mailed with postmark and check date on or before December 31, 2016, will be counted for 2016 regardless of when they are received.
