About Tag Day

William & Mary relies on the support of generous donors to sustain and strengthen the student experience. Today, November 4, is Tag Day, and Students for University Advancement will be taking the time to thank W&M donors by “tagging” people, places, and things on our campus that would not be possible without their support.

Use the map below to learn more about just a few of our tagged spaces and the donors who made them possible. As you wander around campus today, either physically or virtually, note all of the tagged buildings, equipment, rooms, people, and more! Can you imagine William & Mary without these things? Thankfully, you don't have to. Share your appreciation for our generous donors on social media by using the hashtag #wmtagday.

Campus Impact

While our map highlights some of the most prominent campus sites, donors support all aspects of our campus life with gifts of all sizes. Last year, 35,896 donors made gifts to many different areas of the college including need-based and merit-based scholarships, endowed professorships, athletics, academic departments, and so much more. These gifts resulted in $105.8 million dollars for the university. Gifts under $250 alone contributed $2.1 million dollars of support.
